I don't think power would meaningfully change in either direction, but increased temps likely aren't good for your engine oil and exhaust valves. The weight savings are negligible, it seems this mod is a trade between a "clean" engine bay and failing smog at the least (in California anyway).
Well for me, I have Euro catless headers and a catless section 1. So I'm pretty sure my NOx emissions are off the scales, and my overall temps are down because I don't have cats.
