I'm pretty sure the factory plastic piece is bent 90 degrees. It's also huge and wide open, so I'm not sure where the restriction comes in. The ID on both ends would have to be identical anyway for this thing to fit, otherwise you would need a wider MAF and manifold.
I've also purchased a very similar piece, made from the same material but admittedly smaller, for around $13 if my memory is working.
