I agree the fix looks so 'factory' you wonder why BMW didn't do it that way in the first place. I Dunno about a kit, it was basically two pieces of leather edge-stitched and fitted into/around existing seat. Most of the skill was in the installation. But yeah a kit ot two precut, color matched pieces might be good if LeatherZ had the desire to produce one.
Chatsworth Upholstery did a great job basically from scratch in about 90 minutes. I bet you could find an auto upholstery shop to do the same for you; maybe ask a local vintage car restorer for a recommendation.
