I left a gap at the bottom between the scoop and the duct. Plus I got some bigger screws, not longer, and used three of them to hold it securely. Was a bit of a pain but finally got it all working fine. Sent a pic to RPI and they said the gap at the bottom was not an issue. I've had it on for about a month and no problems.
