I never said i wanted to put 5-30 in my car i was just stating why bmw would recommend 10-60 for our engines.
I also know that if the OP beats his car hard with the 5-30 it may thin out too much and cause wear or spun bearings which would have big bad side effects.
Anyway i am sorry for any harshness its not usually like me to argue on forums, especially if im new.
