And 87K miles on your Z4C? What's the repair history look like at that mileage?
In appearance and overall feel the Z4 Coupe is the closest thing I've seen to the original Z car in the last 20 years. The 240Z was great fun to drive and handled well, but the motor in the Z4 is in a different league (almost twice the power even in the non-M). The old 240Z was, however, built like a cheap POS and mine eventually rotted from the frame rails up. For the last couple of years I kept my driver's seat from falling through the rotting floor by securing it to an aftermarket rollbar - ah, grad school.

Reliability in the Z4 has been almost embarrassingly good so far. I've done regular oil changes every 7500 miles, replaced the shocks at 70K and the brake pads at 80K miles. Nothing else and it runs great.
