I too have an '07 Z4 E85 3.01 and the dealer told me it has a small transmission pan gasket leak and they want $1,083.48 (almost $600 labor and almost $500 parts) to fix it saying the gasket is not replaceable and the whole pan must be replaced. How could the labor be that much? And no gasket available? I found
"OEM" gaskets for E85 Z4 on Ebay selling for less then $100
But, Is this covered under the TSB mentioned above and why didn't the dealer tell me about it? I found the
TSB Mechatronic Seal TSB 24 08 06 Sealing Sleeve Seepage mentioned above and it sounds like it is for a different problem then my pan leak?
