I kept my garage opener in the passenger side cargo net, but whenever I'd be coming or going I'd have to reach way down to push the button. Plus the opener was very visible from the outside. I have a paranoia that somebody is going to grab my garage door opener and the DMV registration out of the glove box and have easy access to my house.
I thought about getting a programable mirror, but decided to cheap out and add a net for the drivers side. Luckily therere is an indentation in the shape of the tunel that is the perfect spot to place the net.

I ordered the following parts from Tisher:
51477116156 cargo net
51472263062 clips
Make sure you order 4 of the clips. I made a mistake and ordered only one (didn't update the qty) and got raped at the dealer for the other 3. The clips are tough plastic screwes that puncture the carpet and dig into the padding behind. It takes about 6 full turns to get them burried all the way and the hold really well.
With the garage door opener I can still get the seat all the way forward with no interference, but nothing much thicker.
