I've been running 225/45/17 Dunlop runflat M3 winter sports on 17" M3 replica rims for the last two winters. They work like a charm. The car still slides a bit on turns when there's a layer of snow on the ground (mostly because of RWD and 'cause the car is really light), but otherwise, I feel quite safe in my Zed.
I can't wait to put my 18" M6 replicas back on though. The difference is just huge in terms of looks. When I put the 17" winters on, they look tiny.
