Both supercharges AND turbos are referred to as "blowers," because they force air into the intake manifold (hence "forced induction"). More air + more fuel + proper tuning = more power. Neither of them suck anything..
Superchargers run off of the engine's crank (belt-driven), while turbochargers run off of the engine's exhaust gases (flow-driven).

Exactly. The drive system is the only thing that separates the two (of this type). I had been staring at the detailed pics of the ASA units themselves, so i said turbo. Semantics.
