The v12's might have been a bit less grippy, but seemed to work well wet and dry over 40K miles of daily driving - and almost completely eliminated the tramlining. Maybe this is a result of the soft sidewall others have complained about, but I liked the Hankooks enough that I just ordered a 2nd set.
I heard similar things, and that's what scared me away from the v12's, as I live in the Pacific North West where we get lots of rain. Was all set to buy the PSS (and that's what I'd recommend) but then got a crazy inside deal on a set of ExtremeContact DW tires, so went that route. Had I not been hooked up with such a ridiculous price, I was absolutely getting the PSS tires.
