I have a z4 3.0si, and have been browsing for exhaust mods. I have seen several threads on deleting the rear box and resonators then adding a magnaflow where the resonator was.
I found a couple videos showing a simple rear box delete and I think it sounds pretty good.
The top video sounds a little different and almost looks as though it goes from 2 pipes to one, then Y pipes back to two pipes for the tips... maybe this accounts for the slightly different more raw sound ?
It is hard to tell exactly how loud this is.... I want more noise from the car but I obviously don't want it to be obnoxious/droning on road trips or through a neighborhood etc. In particular I like the crackles/pops and slightly lower pitch that it seems to have.
Any suggestions on how loud this would be, and how it compares to the box/res delete with magnaflow installed?
