Yep, when I bought the iPhone X last year, I retired my 3 year old iPhone 6 Plus to track only duty. Wiped it, took out the SIM card, and just loaded HLT on it. Unfortunately my daughter commandeered it.
Original plan was to capture on the iPhone, transfer and overlay on the iPad Pro I have.
I've got an odd collection of GoPros, from an original gen GoPro HD that's more than 10 years old, to a second gen GoPro HD that's 5 years old, to a GoPro Session HD that's a year old. They're bullet proof, and I would like to upgrade to a GoPro 5 or 6 but they just don't ever break? And I don't really need all the new features so there's been little justification to upgrade. The Session HD is the only one HLT can remote fire, so I usually use that as my master camera.
Now-a-days I'm just lazy. I just want to arrive and drive so I just mount my iPhone X on the dash and go drive. But this is Laguna Seca...So I had to at least hook something up. I don't get to drive Laguna often enough.
