mmm, actually the fuel assembly part from bosch website looks different than the repair kit i bought from ecstuning.com

Maybe the repair kit is a walbro 400 and the one put in the car is not.

George do you have your old pump before the aeromotive swap ?
Of course the pump can be anything from an aftermarket company . See don't put too much stock in one post as definitive fact lol. Anyway , yes the white plastic "case" acts as a surge tank for when the main tank is low/ in high speed turns . It does sit vertically in the tank .
