I think i'm on to something:
The bosch part on the link i gave earlier says bosch on it.

On the repair kit i bought from ecstuning it doesn't say bosch and the part number written on it is: 7 198 097 and assembled in mexico
While the part number on realoem for the fuel pump repair kit is 1 6 11 7 198 099

So i think that in the USA it was cheaper to install a walbro 400 so the original pump in the car might not be a walbro 400 but buying the repair kit from ecstuning.com, you would be provided with a walbro 400 intank fuel pump.

I would need to take pics once i replace my pump to see if my theory is correct. Till then, if anyone attempts to replace his fuel pump, post some pics in here so that we can get to the bottom of this.
