Funny that you also brought this thread back - I wanted to update everyone that I just got the car back after 2 weeks at the dealership for a transmission replacement. The 2nd gear grind got worse over the past few months to the point where engaging 2nd gear at all was a hit-or-miss affair, regardless of how hard I was driving it. Dealer said the synchro failed and they found some metal in the tranny fluid as well. Thank god for the CPO warranty...
New transmission feels super tight, but I haven't tried any high RPM 1-2 shifts yet until it gets some more casual shifts on it.
