The bumper repair kit you can buy from any Napa store includes several fillers and adhesives. I tried to limit the use of filler by using donor bumper plastic when possible. Plus there are self adhesive wire mesh patches available for additional support.
My bumper shows no cracking of the repairs, except where I have scuffed the fangs on driveway approaches
