I bought my Z4C due to the 240-Z similarities. My green 73' is turbocharged w/coil-overs and leather comforts etc. They are a good match of old vs. new.
You're a better judge of cars than I. I bought my '70 Z in NJ in 1980 when I was 19. It had a little bit of surface rust bubbling up at the rear fenders, but for $1800 I figured what the heck. Over the next few years I learned why it's a good idea to be more thorough about underbody inspection. Oh well, I got to learn about Autox and modding in that car for a number of years before the rot finally won.
