Just a word of caution.
OK, so I've been thinking about this for the last few months because I really, REALLY want my art/icon on my roundels!!! I was thinking of NOT attempting to pop them apart,* simply taping off the chrome edges, buffing the BMW image/logo down and then pretty much going forward with the original tutorial. However, I was planning on sealing them with a thin layer of 2-part jewelers resin (non-yellowing when used in outdoor applications), just because I have cool stuff like that sitting around in my art studio...

Thoughts?

*BTW, I haven't broken apart a roundel to see how it's constructed... yet.
