The price non-GB should be 80% the group buy prices now and about 65% in the actual GB

Based on what?
You've evidently never been responsible for P/L on a volume-based project.
DKF is responsible for the same fixed costs (R&D) regardless of how many pieces he produces. His dollar volume of R&D will be fairly similar to that of a larger performance exhaust manufacturer trying to develop a new product for a finite market. Assuming he is trying to break even, and not earn a profit off of the GB, and given the inordinate amount of research and development to-date, I'm surprised the system is this cheap. Don't forget, a company like Supersprint or Akroprovic can amortize their R&D across multiple product lines. DKF can't.
