Hi guys.
Ive been doing 2-3 events a year for the last 4 years. I started out with stock tires/sizes, then went to the Dunlop Direzza Star spec z1's (245/265). The Dunlops are nearing the end of their life, and I am now wondering if I should buy another set in the same size, or if I should buy some light weight 17's for the track.
Has anyone done this?

What are the advantages and disadvantages? (other than weight savings, and less cost per tire)

I do run track pads (Hawk HT10's) and I have KW V3 suspension. And I generally run in B group.
