What I do not understand is WHY you would go without it?
The engineers at BMW obviously thought it needed to be in place or they, the bean counters would not have had it installed on the car. They would have saved the manufacturing and assembly costs, kept the total price of the car the same, and increased the profit margin of the car. |
It's a splash guard. Also helps with aero and structure for your facia. For proper cooling it is needed as it helps keep the air where it needs to be and that is forcing the air throug the rad. Also it keeps from looking throug your facia and seeing ground which I never thought looked very pretty.
