My Escort radar was hardwired to my dome light for a few years but the crappy job done by someone else made the radar buggy. I decided to simplify it by tapping into the fuse box. It's even better now since it's on fuse #2 which only turns on when ignition is set to 2.

I also decided to tap the dome light to a USB outlet to power my Mobius camera and GoPro. So whenever I want to go for a drive I always have the option to record with 2 USB powered cameras. When not recording I can hide the wires inside the plastic roof liner.

Just go to Amazon and search "mini usb dash cam" for the USB power converter.

I've just ordered a visor clip for the Mobius, hopefully it works well so I don't need a second suction cup on the glass.
