Brembo 6/4 GT BBK
I was planning to run Stoptech or PFC, then had the opportunity to grab the Brembo GT kit from a fellow enthusiast. The kit was in great condition with low miles, so I decided to give it a go. In terms of aesthetics and cooling performance, this kit has been a huge improvement over stock. For the Pros/Cons list, I will highlight/compare some of the differences between this kit and my previous Stoptech kit
Pros:- The monoblock rotors look great!
- The monoblock rotors are light.
- Improved braking performance through improved cooling.
- Easy caliper removal thanks to mounting bracket design.
Cons:- Replacement parts are expensive.
- Switching pads is much better/easier with Stoptechs design.
- I prefer Stoptech balanced braking bias with matching front/rear rotor sizes.
- Higher likelihood of damaging caliper finish when performing pad swaps compared to Stoptech
Haven't run this kit long enough to formulate a complete comparison. The kit works well and looks great! If I were to do this mod again, I would likely go with Stoptech due to the ease of swapping brake pads and the "feel" of their balanced braking bias. That said, this kit may grow on me
