For all you guys with Canadian spec cars, I had the chance to compare and change the coding on Caddyshk's car.
I think everyone is aware that BMW in their infinite wisdom turned on all the running lights and Xenon L. beam as DRLs.
Basically the only thing different between headlight switch 0 and 1 is that the interior gauges are not on in pos. 0
....evan the license plate light is enabled as DRL
OK.... here is the coding change needed for you CDN spec car owners.
Coding is in the LCM
there are 2 lines that need to be changed.
1.
DAUERFAHRLICHT_US translation; Daytime Running lights USA
CDN car is coded to
aktiv
change to
nicht_aktiv
2.
PO_ALS_DRL translation; Position lights as DRL (bumper sidelights)
CDN car is coded to
aktiv
change to
nicht_aktiv
this will leave just the inner angel eyes "on" as DRL
****this was done on Z4M, not sure how this applies to Z4
