If yours is a standard SI upgrading to a 3.64 from the automatic would be a upgrade to think about. As with most aftermarket hopping up the motor with aftermarket cams, reworked heads and manifold intake Im sure would bring the hp up to the 300rwhp mark, but $ wise its not economical. A bolt on like a low boost supercharger would be a great add on. If you look at the M, its bascially what you are asking, a punched out 3 liter with massaged race parts. The Ms 330hp is not the upper end of the spectrum for the inline 6, its just the drivability that BMW wanted because its going to be driven on a road, not exclusivily a track car. 400hp is the upper end of the inline 6 in race prepped na cars. Boosted, I wouldnt know, but I assume adding a low boost 4.5-6lbs of boost, intercooled if you could Im sure the Si motor would churn out close to 400 crank hp reliably, which is the key. other options to consider are having someone remap the computer here are some other sites that offer it specifically for the Si:
