I think black wheels on a white car look really nice. I was initially considering black rims or gun metal rims on my car. You can't go wrong with dark rims.
However, as someone pointed out to me, when you get something dark, your car stands out more and looks like it is built more for the younger street racer crowd. I've got a Satin Silver Civic as my daily driver with bronze te-37 knock offs and dark rims with a light colored car does look like the car is made for street racing.
For the look I'm trying to achieve, I think I'll be going with silver colored rims. Dark vs. Silver, you really can't go wrong with either. Especially on a white car.
