I've been doing more and more research and now I'm wondering, does the end of the wiring that comes off of the stock belt receptacle plug directly into the harness that is left hanging on the floorpan (i.e., I wouldn't have to ghetto rig any wires)? A guy I know with a Z3 says his plugs right in. Also there was a DIY for an E9x I believe 3 series and the seat belt plugs right into the harness.
I hope I'm making this way too complicated and the wires on the receptacle plug right into the harness without modification.
