It's interesting what you said about the S2K feeling "more responsive" than the M at 3K. I had an 06 S2K prior to my MR and when I test drove a Z4 for the first time(a Z4 3.0si automatic) I was so underwhelmed when I got back in my S2K and drove home(the S2K felt like a Tercel after the torque in the Z4). I love my MR and it has all the things I wished my S2K had(torque, better brakes, more power options and comfort inside, bluetooth, a real stereo, fully automatic soft top, etc.). You will not be sorry if you make the move from the Honda to the BMW.
