Unfortunately bc the intercooler is so large there is no place to put it where it has no effect on the radiator and gets good clean air. The only solution which you suggested would be to fabricate ducting (Major PITA but the best option).

Regarding number 1, I was more concerned with it dropping the high pressure in front of the radiator, due to having a large area for air to escape.
