In the time since my last post, my buddy bought an '07 M Coupe. His brakes look entirely stock and I was surprised to find that his weren't grabby at all. I think my fluid must have been old or there may have been bubbles in the line or something. Who knows. His stock brakes were good enough and not annoying. Not Porsche good but hey it's a cheap BMW with single pots here.

Before I knew that the stock system wasn't so bad, I went and wasted a bunch of money on new Stoptech Street pads, stainless lines, and new fluid. I bled once after the line install, then again a few days later after running the ABS a few times. I can say that the braking is no longer grabby but not sure what helped it as I did not isolate any variables.
