I don't think that's what the OP is saying.
Look at the first picture of the blower he got, notice that the outlet is lower than the label on the blower. Then look at the installation picture and notice that the label is below the outlet.
So it looks like the outlet needs to be turned out about 30-45 degrees, since it's a solid piece it sounds like the whole assembly needs to be turned.
