Ok, my antenna and base were corroded together. Despite the PB Blaster I sprayed on the seized pin, I could not get it to release and ended up shearing it off. I drilled it out and tried to remove its remains with an extractor (after more PB) and all it did was spin the base. I'm now going to order a replacement base & grommet to get this thing finished. Is there just the one retaining nut at the base of the amplifier module that holds everything together?
