It's a BOV - no recirc. It's venting to atmosphere.
2 psi is what's necessary, and it's what the car is tuned to use. 6 psi can cause part throttle issues and put extra strain on the blower.
Below 3k rpm the BOV is almost inaudible, so it won't sound like the car is having an asthma attack on the highway.
