'03 Z4 3.0 won't re start
I got a nice used 03 Z4 3.0 with like 23,000 miles on it. One day the car just failed at a traffic light and would not re-start. I took it to a good independent shop they diagnosed and replaced the fuel pump and filter. I drove the car maybe 2000 miles and now it won't re-start. It'll start when cold, drive as far as you want to go but will not re start once you shut it down. I can drive it to work 20+miles but when I get there it won't re start. At the end of the work day it will start & run all the way home but won't re start. I took it back to the shop and they figured the new factory pump they installed was bad replaced it and the same thing. Starts & runs but no re start. It has had the recall from way back but it sure seems like a vapor lock. Any ideas? The techs aare scratching their heads. Their words.
