yes but you have to remember with the $7500 cash back + slow sales these cars were offered to many customers brand new for ~$40k. The e46 m3 in 06 was $55-60k.
So the e46 m3 has depreciated 60% in 4 years while the z4MC has depreciated only ~30% of it's original for sale price. Trust me depreciation wise the mz4 is a much better buy than an e46 m3 which won't be worth anything close to a similar condition, similar year mz4 in 3-4 years.
