We take care of most of the patients. We'll call on the specialists if we need any help with a case ie. surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology. You can consider us as the general practice guy within the hospital. Your primary care physician probably used to admit sick patients to the hospital. They usually don't anymore.

Anyone in health care knows that there's a shortage of intensivists. Same thing at our hospital. I also run the ICU which is more than just general practice. The sicker the better. I love taking patients from the brink of death to seeing them leave the hospital.

Besides all the clinical work, I'm pretty active in many hospital committees to insure we deliver great healthcare, patients are happy and of course, that we remain profitable.

I've always wanted a Z. First was the Z3 then the Z4. I love driving with the top down. It is the single most enjoyable thing I do in a day besides coming home to the family. I definitely drive it in a spirited fashion. Some may call it reckless. I prefer the term spirited.

Glad to see such a diverse group of BMW owners here. Coming to this site to learn about about BMWs has been real enjoyable.
not to thread jack, but im 23 and decided i wanted a career change(currently the CMO of a local company) to be a MD. Any helpful info you can give me? im 2 years away from my med school apps as im taking care of pre req classes now. Not sure what i want to specialize in but im very good under pressure so i would have to say that it has crossed my mind that working in a high stress/pressure hospital position may be good for me...
