I had 800 lb rear springs on my E46M3 and the TCK DA shocks seemed to work well with those springs; however this was primarily on smooth racetracks not nearly as demanding as the Nurburgring (which I believe is RussRamz playground) so I believe that for autocross or most US racetracks they are OK at up to 800 lb spring rates. During a conversation with Pete at TCK a few years ago I recall he said that they don't sell any springs higher than 700 lbs, but he didn't say that the shocks can't handle a higher spring rate. Hope that helps. I haven't done a full suspension on my Z4MC but I think that 700 lb springs in the back is as high as I would go. I cannot speak from direct experience however.
