My car was a US 3.0si that I imported into Canada. Although the dealer down there agreed to enable the DRLs for Canada, he messed up and set them to the US version of DRL, meaning that only the halos light up on my car when the engine is running and the light switch is in the OFF position.

But I actually prefer this. First, for a car with fog lamps - and as I live out east where we get pea soup thick fog - I can now run with the headlights OFF but the fog lights and taillights ON. Which I think is MUCH better.

With the Canadian situation, the headlights stay lit while the fog lights are on, and you get all that glare back in your face.
