For the front, I decided to build in a bit more support and avoid the use of the turnbuckles.
For the fang fill piece I used 9mm Lexan.
Since I had lots of scrap, I built up some blocks(x3) to support the front.

Since they are much larger (spread the load) they provide all the support necessary.
You will also see a block
(blue arrow) next to the fang.
There is one on each side. These are the depth spacers for the Lexan strip (fang fill)
Next is the Lexan fill piece.
It is wrapped in 3M flat black.
The orange strip is 3M body shop grade double sided tape (top and bottom).
The Lexan is flexed (bowed) into place, tape pealed off & the front support bolts tightened.
