Nice write-up, Rick. This Coal Country installment brings back memories of "The Molly McGuires." That was a film produced in this area in the late 60's starring Sean Connery and Richard Harris. Connery grabbed it as a vehicle to avoid being typecast as 007. He was a golf enthusiast as a proper Scot would naturally be, and I remember seeing him playing at the country club where I worked during a break in the shooting. At the time, Connery was every teenage boy's hero and definitely made an impression on me!

There are still a number of breakers and other artifacts of the era such as row houses (in which the miners lived) and mansions (owned by the mine executives) in the general area. All would be photogenic when coupled with your talents. Might be worth another trip when the weather is more receptive!
