^ The wheels will work without rings, but you may experience vibration without them. The owner may not realize/care about the vibration. Just ask him if he knows anything about it or what the bore of the wheels are. My 19" M6 reps had a correct bore for front, but I needed rings for rear.
I get spacers from PYSpeed. Not the cheapest, but quality.
