You should gently lift ( lift from the back of speedo ) the white part and the connector will be out of the speedometer.

Thanks Jean for the help, but I just sit there for a few minutes looking at it and decided, what the heck go get a beer and come back. Well perhaps the beer did it but the lock has a small tab in front of it, if its slightly depressed the entire arm will rotate over it and release the connector.
Just have to be careful when you put back together so the lock lines up with the curved groved so when its push back it will pull the whole assembly back down onto the connections and then lock.
I did get it cleaned up and now it looks awesome!
