The carpet is pretty tough. Here's a DIY that shows how to get all that stuff apart.

If you have a little mech ability and a basic set of tools (metric ratchet set, screwdrivers) you can get to the module. Pretty sure its the one that is in the bracket to the left of the hole in the Pics. Get the bracket off and your passcode should be on the TCU.

No third option Ive heard of, Do the R&R or its off to the dealer, wallet in hand - Sorry.
