I think is just as much aimed to real life happenings....not so much careless people .
At least with this protection....days when the wind gusts grab your door....or yours hands are too full to completely catch your door final resting position.....people can stress less.

I can see no fail here aside from things getting hung on the plastic and breaking. ( like our cup holders).
