100% agree with you.... its pretty clear when this car is running right, from my experience we ALL need to junk the ESS supplied clips and get some proper tension type clips that dont loosen with heat cycles, this will be my next job i think.......

went out for a good run today when i got home i noticed the i/c was steaming , the air was damp and thick, the inlet side was WARM, outlet coolish.... id like to get someone to build me a custom HUGE frontmount, the ess one is large but i think we could do better, interestly the vt2-550 spec unit is larger than the vt2-500 unit......

meth injection will end your issues, just get a REALLY small nozzle, id set it to come on @ 2psi, an AFR gauge with meth is essential as you want to see how much this is richeing our tune...... would be nice if ess offered us an updated tune like they reguarly do for the m3 kits, i think im going to do some data logs and get them over to ess to see if we can tweak the tune alittle, a mid to high 11 tune all the way through the power band would be lovely... then meth/water would take this down to a low 11, prettty much what the tune does now. if youve had the chance to take this thing out in really cool weather, its a freaking beast.....
