I well remember my freshman year in college, when I first heard songs by the Jefferson Airplane. I was awestruck then and remain so today. Along the way, it was a lot of fun to get to know Jorma and Jack a bit, together with some other legendary rock performers from the 1960s, including the one shown below.



Care to hazard a guess as to who it is? Hints:
  • I'm the goofy looking one with the moustache.
  • He confirmed for me that his song "Janis" was indeed written about Janis Joplin; he was one of her first accompanists when she moved to San Francisco, and they later lived together for some time.
  • It's not Jorma (although he was also one of Janis' early accompanists).
