Are they intermittent, or rain sensing?
If they're rain sensing, and you were trying them out with no rain/snow, then they won't go.
I have the rain sensing, and the dial is supposed to set the sensitivity, but it doesn't seem to change anything.
They're too sensitive for my taste, so I usually end up going to manual.
