My M Coupe still has OE suspension. Front tire's rim protector rubbed on the strut when going to 265 tires on 9.5 wheels.

Details and pictures captured at kklin's Z4 M Coupe for SCCA BSP (road tire). You'll have to do the math for your setup. As I noted, the tire sidewall's profile mattered in my case.

It would be great to know how many MM you can go in and out without rubbing - even with 10 mm clearance which is a little more than 1/4" so you can do the calculations.
