I'm on a 255/40 front and 285/35 rear. Have definite rubbing up front and I need to change something - everybody is telling me to go to a 245/40 and I think that is what I will do.

Just since you have similar wheel sizes, tire sizes I'll probably end up with, and suspension mods, if you can make any comments on your situation, trials and tribulations to get there, would be great help.
the setup is still new and I am still fine tuning it. my ride height is pretty slammed. no wheel gaps with a VERY minor tire tuck. I've also had some rubbing up front with the wheel/tire combo, but have managed to eliminate a lot of it by trimming the front bumper and fender liner near the edges. Also got rid of the three clips closest to the bottom of the front bumper that hold the fender liner to the bumper. I drilled new holes in 'no-contact' locations to secure everything together with the old clips. I also trimmed the very front of fenders on the inside (near headlight) where the tire was clearly making contact. Sanded the metal down, and used touch up paint to cover the bare metal. Touch up paint has not rubbed off yet, so I know it's not making contact anymore.

I had the same issues with my S2000 in the front AND rear, and was able to eliminate all rubbing by doing the same things I've done to the M.

...Price you pay for stance. sucks, but I hope this helps.
